The Bi-Zi Farms Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. I was expecting us to be there for about an hour picking out pumpkins. What I didn't realize was this was no ordinary pumpkin patch. There was so much to do there and so much going on. It was so fun for the kids and adults both, plus Mike and I got two pumpkins. We got the biggest ones we were willing to carry.

To get to the actual patch we took a ride on a large hay wagon pulled by a tractor.

Besides the pumpkin patch there was a pumpkin launch. There were several poles lined up with large elastic cables between them. The cables had little pouches in their centers where you put the mini pumpkins in. All you had to do was pull back as hard as you could and then watch her fly. I guess you were supposed to aim for the large buckets but a lot of people were just trying to see how far they could go or trying to smash them.

Mikey gave some assistance to the kids.

And they helped him too.

I think my favorite part was the corn pit. It was exactly as it sounds, just a big pit of corn kernals (dried of course). It felt like a sand box but different. I couldn't resist hopping in. The funny thing is it is mostly for the kids. I felt like that lady on the movie Patch Adams swimming in Spaghetti noodles. If you don't know what I mean you gotta see it.

Aside from all of that there was a hay tower with tunnels for kids to run through it. I refrained myself from joining the fun on that one for fear I would get stuck and scare the children. There was also a petting zoo with farm animals, a corn maze, a mini hay maze, water wells to wash your pumpkins, and yummy food.
