Here's for the latest PA school update:
Well first the bad...
I didn't get accepted to OHSU. I was pretty heartbroken. I tried to prepare myself for it since I knew how competitive the school is, but it still hurt a little. Lucky for me, my mom was on the phone with me when I got the letter and opened it. She was so supportive and so was Mike. All is well.
Now for the good news...
I got invited to interview with Idaho State University. My interview is in December in Meridian. I'm obviously really looking forward to it and am tickled that it is for the school in my home state. If all goes well I may get that chance to live close to family again.

PA School
So I've decided to show you all what's going on with my school these days. I'm applying for Physician Assistant school and am actually really close to being done. To apply to PA school you have a general application called the CASPA application that goes to all of the schools. The next step is to complete the supplemental applications that some of the schools require. After that is the waiting to get an interview. That's where I'm at right now. It is pretty stressful/exciting. I have my preferences, but am just hoping I get accepted to at least one or two, and not get rejected by all of them. The possibility of that is the reason I feel so vulnerable posting my progress. But since the few of you who read my blog are my friends I'm counting on you not to laugh if that happens, in fact I'm counting on your prayers and lucky stars while I wait. Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you all.
So here is the list and the recent news. Every time I hear something new I'll try to post an updated list.
Obviously location is a big deal to me as far as being close to family and friends. I've looked at all of the schools and feel like they have programs that would be good for me. Now it is just waiting to see if they think I fit their school well.

The Wedding Dinner and Then Some
The night before our wedding we had a dinner with family and friends. Here are the few photos from the evening that I was able to capture.

Thank you Lindsey, Nate, Allison, and Scott for making the trip up. It was so great to have you there.
Later that night my mom, Aunt Valois, and Holly threw me a spontaneous bachelorette party. We made a doughnut run to our favorite doughnut place in Portland, VooDoo Doughnuts. We were there so late and I probably should have been resting before the big day but it was way too much fun.

The Honeymoon
No way am done talking about the wedding. I have more photos come from the Portland festivities. Until then I'll share a little from the honeymoon. We went to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at the beautiful hotel right on the beach.

The peninsula we were on separated the water into two sections or beaches. The one side of the peninsula was calm enough to swim in. It is known as Lover's beach. Unfortunately we were on the other side of the peninsula where the water is very rough. That side is known as Divorce Beach. Most people took a boat to get to Lovers Beach, but luckily we found a short cut that involved a hike (not ideal for someone like me who is terrified of heights). We found it because a bunch of locals kept heading toward this rocky cliff area that separated the two sides of the peninsula. We followed them and ventured on the hike. It was so fun once we got to Lover's Beach.
We also went to the older town San Jose Los Cabos to see the old cathedrals and to get some fun souvenirs.

We ate plenty of good food, not just mexican but italian and american. We also found a lot of little beaches only the locals seemed to go to. My favorite adventure was going on the ATV rides through the desert and along the beach. We love riding 4-wheelers but had never done it in that setting. We even saw a little road runner. I was surprised it was so small, that loony toons cartoon is so deceiving :).
One day we rented a car and headed out to see the Hotel California (like in that Eagles song). This is in a small town about an hour away called Todos Santos. I loved it there because it seemed a little less commercial then San Lucas. I was obsessed with the decor at the hotel and took way too many pictures. We also got a bite to eat before heading back to San Lucas.
While we were out the hotel staff surprised us by decorating out room with some swans and rose pedals. Oh yeah!
Here's some other photos from the Honeymoon from the food and beach to the streets of Mexico and us.
